ABS* Latin Promotions is a voluntary and a non-profit making cultural organisation created to introduce, promote and share the Music, Dance, Arts and general culture of Latin America in the UK.

ABS* Latin Promotions has been founded by Peruvian born Annie Bazán-De-Fisher, an International Cultural Awards Winner, who has recently been recognised as the "PERUVIAN CULTURAL AMBASSADOR IN THE UK" by the National Peruvian General Press Association also adding the title of "Peruvian Journalist" (Periodista del Perú). 

A very prestigious Peruvian Cultural Award (Silver Plate) was given in 1999 to Annie by the Peruvian General Consulate in the UK in recognition to her "invaluable and excellent contribution" in promoting Peru in the UK. 
In 2008, Annie  also received  the  Peruvian Pride Award in Lima, Peru (Premio "Orgullo Peruano") for her contribution towards the promotion of Peru and latin culture.  

The  Peruvian National Congress Cultural Award Vizcardo y Guzman Medal 2000 was also given to the founder of ABS* Latin Promotions by the Peruvian General Consul, H.E.  Ambassador  Luis Chuquihuara.

ABS* Latin Promotions has been recognised  by various established organisations (such as the BBC, Birmingham City Council, England Art Council, Birmingham Evening Mail Newspaper amongst others) as the pioneers in promoting latin american culture in the UK and who over many  years have always  offered their support towards the organisation of our events which are normally delivered free to the public.

ABS* Latin Promotions is the sole organizer of Birmingham's Annual Latin American Festival which is celebrating this year its 18th Anniversary  and the best Latin events throughout the West Midlands and the UK.
For the past 12 years we have organised  the "Contigo Peru" event (London).  Latin America 2000 (Chamberlain Sq. Birmingham), Fiesta Latina (Centenary Square. Birmingham) , Entertainment & support was provided to the G8 Summit (Victoria Sq.  Birmingham, May 1998), The World Disability Olympics (Alexander Stadium, Birmingham), Discovery Day (Birmingham City Centre), Winterval (Victoria Sq. Birmingham) 1997, The International Lord Mayor's Show (Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston, West Midlands, 1999 and 2005), The New Year Millennium Celebration  (Centenary Square, Birmingham), The BCLA International Conference (Hilton - NEC, Birmingham), the Hope Project charity event at the Dorchester Hotel, London, The Latin Fiesta 2003 (Mailbox, Birmingham), The Queen's Golden Jubilee (2001) - Salsa Festival Mailbox 2005 and 2006, Viva Latin America - Marriot Hotel, London 2005, Peruvian Fiesta (Bolivar Hall - London) .    Also the  Pure Peru  event,  (2008 and 2009)  introducing Peruvian International Footballer Nolberto Solano. The Ipanema Salsa Events (2005-2008) and The Living Room Salsa Events (2008-2009),  Salsa Party at Walkabout  (2010).
